1985
Establishment FirmaThe company originated from a hobby of Jan and Stien Lucassen. In 1985, the two eldest children, Marcel, Jacqueline and her husband, Willy Wolsing, decided to join the business, and thus the partnership was formed. A few years later, the youngest son, Rob Lucassen, also joined the company.
1992
Expansion of second locationThe nursery grew and a second location was found in Kranenburg. An old farm with land was purchased and completely renovated. Here, the first container fields, a water basin and tunnels were constructed. The plants are grown both in open ground and in pots.
1999
New construction!In order to grow in size and quality, building a greenhouse was a major goal. This was not possible at the two current locations, so a new location was sought. This was found on Oude Zutphenseweg in Vorden. Significant investments were made in company housing, a company building, a greenhouse and container fields. Open field cultivation is disappearing and everything is now grown in pots.
2001
Greenhouse expansionThe greenhouse proved to be a great success! With a climate computer and modern pumping system, cultivation could be controlled much better and plants could be overwintered during the winter months. This whetted the appetite for more, and a second section was soon added. Within two years, there will be almost 1.5 hectares of greenhouse space.
2018
New co-ownerWith Jorik Wolsing as co-owner, the third generation becomes active in the family business. The market position and developments are examined, and it is soon decided to expand the container fields. In the following year, a piece of fallow pasture land is converted, allowing production to increase.
2023
Third generation expandsAfter completing his studies in Cultivation and Technology, Jart Lucassen also joined the company. Jorik and Jart are cousins, and slowly but surely, they are exploring how the new generation can take over the business. Jorik is now responsible for purchasing and sales, while Jart is developing his skills in the technical aspects of cultivation.
The new generation is fully supported by the dedicated old guard!
